Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.



PROCEDURE

Hide 75797C 1.INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING UPPER PAD

HINT:

When installing the rear door outside moulding upper pad, heat the front door outside moulding using a heat light.


Standard:
Item Temperature
Rear Door Outside Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)


NOTICE:

Do not heat the front door outside moulding excessively.


a.

When using a new front door outside moulding:

i.

Clean the surface of a new front door outside moulding.


ii.

Using a heat light, heat the front door outside moulding surface.



b.

When reusing the front door outside moulding:

i.

Using a heat light, heat the front door outside moulding surface.


ii.

Remove the double-sided tape from the front door outside moulding.


iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new rear door outside moulding upper pad.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the front door outside moulding.


ii.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear door outside moulding upper pad.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.



iii.

Install the rear door outside moulding upper pad as shown in the illustration.
